Introduction
Thank you for choosing to support our cause by taking part in one of our events/fundraisers powered by Funraisin. We’re excited to have you on board!
Before you support us, either by taking part, making a donation, or sponsoring someone, please be aware of the following terms and conditions.
Fundraising
- By registering for an event/fundraiser, you agree to raise the minimum sponsorship amount, as outlined on the registration page.
- If your fundraising target is not met by the final deadline, you may be asked to cover the shortfall at the discretion of St John’s Hospice.
- Individuals fundraising in support of the charity must conduct all fundraising activities in a lawful, safe, and responsible manner.
- All fundraising activities must clearly state that funds are being raised 'in aid of' the charity. Individuals creating fundraising pages must not present themselves as official representatives of the charity.
- Fundraising pages and related content must not include material that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful.
- St John’s Hospice is not liable for any loss or damage incurred during your fundraising efforts.
- Fundraising pages for individuals under the age of 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, and any fundraising activities or event participation must take place with their full consent and supervision.
Withdrawal
- Registration fees are non-refundable.
- If you are unable to participate, deferring your place to a future event/fundraiser may be possible, but is subject to the charity's discretion. Please contact our team to discuss your options.
- If you withdraw after a specified date, you may still be expected to meet your full fundraising commitment, depending on the circumstances and the charity's discretion.
- Donations already made will not be refunded unless specifically requested by the donor.
Liability
- You participate in our events/fundraisers at your own risk.
- You are responsible for ensuring your health, fitness, and training levels are adequate. Please consult a medical professional if unsure.
- You must provide and maintain suitable equipment in safe, working condition where applicable (e.g. a roadworthy bicycle).
Privacy and data protection
- Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and used solely for the administration of the event/fundraiser.
- We will not share your information with third parties without your consent.
- Event photos or videos may be used for promotional purposes (print and digital). If you do not wish to appear in promotional materials, please contact our team to opt out. Please note that we will make every effort to remove images upon request, but we cannot guarantee recall of materials already in circulation.
Use of this website
- This website is powered by Funraisin.
- By using this website, users acknowledge that their use may also be subject to Funraisin’s own terms and privacy policies.
- The charity is not responsible for technical issues, interruptions, or failures relating to the operation of the third-party platform.
Final notice
St John’s Hospice reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to all active participants/fundraisers.
